weight: 40 gDo you know, that…
The tradition of drinking mulled wine dates back to the Middle Ages, but it is not known who came up with the idea. According to one story, a doctor recommended boiled wine to his patients to strengthen immunity. According to other stories, in the old days, wine often turned sour, so it was made drinkable again by boiling and adding spices and honey to it.
The secret to the success of boiled, spicy drinks lies in the good raw material (wine) and the aromatic, carefully selected spices.
Boiled beer, which is poured into a tall glass drizzled with honey, is especially popular among Poles, and the honey is slowly mixed with the spicy warm beer while drinking.
How to use
For mulled wine, it is best to use semi-sweet or semi-dry red wine. We can also mix red and white wine. The most expensive wines are Portuguese, Spanish, Hungarian, Italian and Chilean.
If you are making mulled beer, choose light beer.
After adding the spice to the mulled wine, heat the drink, do not let it boil, as it may lose its flavour.
